The FORD Kenya Party will go to court on Monday to sue the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) for distributing funds in the National Super Alliance (NASA) opposition coalition.

Speaking during a meeting with Ford Kenya party officials on Sunday, Wetangula accused the Raila Odinga-led Orange party of excluding the other three NASA affiliate parties in the sharing of funds allocated to the opposition.

“ODM is appropriating all the political parties funds being paid from the exchequer to the exclusion of ANC, Wiper and Ford Kenya,” said Wetangula.

He added that Ford-Kenya will be enjoining the Musalia Mudavadi-led ANC Party in the case.

NASA affiliate parties include ODM, Wiper, Ford-Kenya and Amani National Congress (ANC)

They have recently agreed on the distribution of funds.

On the one hand, there is the ODM insists that he has the lion’s share as he has more MPs and contributes more votes to the coalition, while on the other hand the other parties want equity in sharing funds and say they are key players of NASA.

The ANC party has ODM chief Raila Odinga in the past accused of making unilateral decisions and abandoning the opposition course after the March 9 peace agreement with President Uhuru Kenyatta.

On Sunday, Mudavadi reiterated that he would stay in the opposition and be the man to set the government in check after Odinga and Kalonzo Musyoka were ready to work with President Kenyatta.
