A Third Year student at Pwani University in Kilifi County was on Sunday stabbed several times by a man alleged to be her ex-lover.
Naomi Chepkemboi, who is fighting for her life at the Kilifi County Hospital, was stabbed multiple times on the chest using a knife.
Reports indicate that the attacker identified as Henry Kipkoech is a student at Kenyatta University.
Reports indicate Henry arrived at Naomi’s house in the morning carrying a bag that was found to contain three knives.
He then allegedly locked the room and proceeded to attack the girl who raised an alarm, alerting fellow students who rescued her.
The man was arrested and taken to the Kilifi Police Station as investigations into the matter continue.
The motive of the attack remains unclear.
This comes a week after a sixth year student at Moi University was man slaughtered by an alleged boyfriend at the University premises.
