Self-proclaimed prophet, Nabii Yohana Tano, who claims to be John the Baptist, has taken issue with President Uhuru Kenyatta and his deputy William Ruto for ignoring his messages, since 2013.
According to reports by The Standard , Yohana, whose real name is Ronald Nakalila Wanyama, wants the new currency abolished and replaced with his own, ‘ Mzawadi ‘ in order for the country’s economy to grow by double digits.
The 79-year-old claims that the government ought to have consulted him before printing the new currency, adding that it is the source of all vices in Kenya like corruption, robbery with violence, political assassinations and the spread of HIV.
Yohana, who hails from Nandolia Village in Bungoma, married 39 wives, three of whom are deceased.
He has 107 children and more than 250 grandchildren.
He married his first wife in 1962 and claims that the reason for marrying the other wives was that he didn’t want to cheat.
Yohana further alleged to have written his own bible that has 93 books, unlike the Holy Bible which has 66 books.
Some of the books in his scriptures include Mfarisayo Wilson, Agnes, Mfarisayo Geoffery, Benson II, Peter Petro and Mfarisayo Petro.
The man of the cloth also revealed to the publication that he possesses majestic powers to resurrect the dead, by stepping on their back five times and healing the sick by jumping over them five times.
“I am the way the truth and the last prophet sent by God to save mankind from corruption, homosexuality and bad governance. When Jesus Christ was crucified, he gave me the power to raise the dead,” he declared.
