The Kenya Certificate of Primary Examinations (KCPE) kick off on Tuesday, 29 and will end on Thursday 31, 2019.
Rehearsals across the country were conducted on Monday with 1,088,987 candidates expected to take part in this years’ exams.
On Tuesday, the candidates will begin with mathematics paper at 8:30am; English section A starts 11:00 am and English Section B starts 2:30 PM.
On Wednesday, Science starts 8:30 am; Kiswahili Lugha starts 11:10 am and Kiswahili Insha B starts 2:10 PM.
Thursday will be Social Studies and R.E which starts 8:30 am.
Education Cabinet Secretary Professor George Magoha warned that stern action will be taken against those intending to compromise the examination process.
Prof Magoha put on notice those planning to take part in exam irregularities, especially in areas flagged as possible cheating hotspots.
His Interior counterpart Dr Fred Matiang’i said that he will be on duty throughout the exam duration, vowing not to tolerate any mistake from teachers or security teams dispatched to the various counties to oversee the examinations.
The examinations come even as most areas in the country continue to be affected by floods.
