President William Ruto has announced the list of Cabinet nominees. This comes just a week after he dismissed the entire Cabinet, save for Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi. Among the new appointees are six previously fired Cabinet Secretaries, who are making a return in different ministries. Notably, Prof. Kithure Kindiki retains his former position in the Ministry of Interior and National Administration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The full list of the 11 new Cabinet Secretaries and their designations is as follows:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  4. Ministry of Education<\/strong> – Julius Migosi Ogamba<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  5. Ministry of Defence<\/strong> – Aden Barre Duale<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  6. Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock Development<\/strong> – Dr. Andrew Mwihia Karanja<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  7. Ministry of Environment, Climate Change and Forestry<\/strong> – Roselinda Soipan Tuiya<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  8. Ministry of Water, Sanitation and Irrigation<\/strong> – Eric Muriithi Muuga<\/li>\n\n\n\n

    President Ruto emphasized that this reshuffle is part of ongoing consultations across the political divide to achieve a balanced and effective Cabinet. “I am continuing to undertake consultations across the political divide on the balance of Cabinet that I will appoint shortly.
