The High Court has on Tuesday lifted travel restriction barring Migori Governor from travelling to Homa Bay County over Sharon Otieno murder case.
Justice Jessie Lesiit said the purpose of the restriction has already been served and it’s no longer necessary.
The governor was barred by the court from setting foot into Homa Bay county (Sharon Otieno’s home county) as part of the stringent conditions for his bail.
This is to ensure he does not interfere with witnesses.
He was charged with Sharon’s murder and was released on Sh5 million bail.
The Rongo University student was murdered and her body found in Kodero Forest in Homa Bay September 2018 together with her unborn child.
