Kenyan man in UK accused of defiling girls for 11 years to face charges

A Kenyan man living in the United Kingdom accused of committing a series of sexual offences over an 11-year period is expected to appear before Chelmsford Crown Court to defend the charges.

Anthony Kamau, 48, of Winstanley Road Saffron Walden, is reported to have sexually assaulted underage girls within an 11 year period from 2005.

While appearing first before the Chelmsford Magistrates’ Court on November 20 Kamau was charged with two counts of assault by touching, four counts of engaging in non-penetrative sexual activity with a girl, and one count of inciting a girl under 13 to engage in sexual activity according to Saffron Walden Reporter .

The charges relate to offences alleged to have taken place between 2005 and 2016. Kamau did not however take any plea.

The hearing was adjourned by magistrates and a provisional date of next hearing slated for December 18 at Chelmsford Crown Court.
